The purpose of “Giuseppe Tovini” institution is to give its contribution to the training and specialization of teachers, tutors, animators and socially committed figures, by following the Christian pedagogic doctrine and at the same time the principles of human sciences progress.

  In order to perform its activity the Institution supports:

• Activities which aim to the training and updating of operators in the field of education, culture and sociology, thanks to prizes and scholarships which give them the opportunity
  to take part in lessons, seminars and to attend libraries;

• Initiatives oriented to the support of study, research and both university and master specialization, apprenticeship in Italy and even abroad, voluntary activities and international cooperation.

Another of the institution aims is that of supporting the Christian information and education within the society by means of activities in the field of publishing, television and media in general.

 What above clearly shows that the “vocation” of the institution is of educational kind.

Two excellent figures of the “bresciano” Catholic world played a very significant role in the history of the institution: prof. Vittorio Chizzolini, a brilliant teacher and promoter of very interesting educational programmes, and mons. Angelo Zammarchi who was one of the founders of “La Scuola” publishing house with which the institution closely cooperates.

The Institution was officially born on 10th June 1957 and after the proposal of the Ministero della Pubblica Istruzione was acknowledged as Moral Institution in 1959.
